The Regional Travel Assistance Fund (TAF)

Travel Assistance Fund (TAF)
The Travel Assistance Fund was set up in 2023 with the aim of helping groups with transport costs. The TAF will be paid to groups to help with horse transport costs to the Regional Qualifier and National Championships as well as volunteer travel costs to regional training days.
At the moment some groups pay for their volunteers' travel when attending training and we would like to help the other groups who do not have sufficient funds to do the same. We would also like to encourage groups to attend the Regional Qualifiers when finances would otherwise prevent this.
The money available is capped at £1600 annually. We would ask that groups are mindful of our aims when thinking of applying and volunteers are asked to carshare to reduce costs and help the environment.

Regional Expenses
Nobody should be out of pocket because they are volunteering at a regional or county level. It is important that roles are open to everyone.

Regional volunteers are asked to claim their expenses quarterly or sooner. This helps us with our regional budget.

If they are not making a claim RDA UK volunteers are asked to still send their mileage to the Regional Chair.
